And the big news is Access Independent have won a contract to be the preferred provider for Occupational Therapy Assessments for the Royal British Legion in the following counties-

Essex, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Birmingham, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Huntingdonshire, Hertfordshire, London, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Devon, Cornwall, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, Sussex, Wiltshire and Kent.

And also Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

We are hoping to recruit OT assessors with experience of physical disability for social services and mobility assessment work

The social services work is typical waiting list work and is in Yorkshire and Hampshire.

The mobility assessment work is in South London and  Birmingham

Access Independent Ltd have won a contract to provide OT assessments in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. We are now recruiting OTs to undertake these assessments. We need OTs with experience with Physical Disability, seating, wheelchair assessments, Housing and major adaptations, profiling beds etc.

We also need OTs experienced in physical disabililty to assess applicants for concessiaonry travel permits in South West London

OTs needed in London and Slough

We have just been awarded a small but on going contract in Brent. We are looking for OTs to work for us on behalf of Brent Housing.There is funding so the work should progress fairly speedily

The work will include the following:-

REVIEW ASSESSMENT(Initial assessment will already have been carried out)
mostly focusing on major adaptations identified as being needed from the
initial assessment. If other needs are identified these will need to be
met

VISIT WITH SURVEYOR
OUTLINE SPECIFICATIONS TO BE DRAWN UP BY OT AND SENT TO SURVEYOR
CHECKING OF SURVEYORS DETAILED PLANS
CHECKING COMPLETED ADAPTATION
CLOSING REPORT

you will need to have 2 years social services experience and be competant
and experienced at dealing with major adaptations
perience working for social services to work for us on this contract.
